The North Royalton CERT held its annual appreciation dinner on Saturday, June 10, at St. Albert the Great Parish Life Center. This year celebrates NR CERT’s 20th Anniversary. In addition to the NR CERT members, most of the North Royalton City Council members were present, along with Mayor Larry Antoskiewicz and President of Council Paul Marnecheck. The invocation was given by St. Albert’s Pastor, Fr. Edward Estok. Also present was former mayor, Cathy Luks, who shared her recollections of the beginning of the NR CERT in 2003.
NR CERT was presented with an Ohio House of Representatives Proclamation by Speaker, Jason Stephens, and Representatives, Thomas F. Patton and Richard Dell’Aquila.
The event program included a Thank You note to the members for volunteering with NR CERT…and read, “Your willingness to give your time and service is greatly appreciated. Your support of CERT allows us to continue to fulfill our mission and serve our community each year.” It also included the names of the dinner sponsors, as well as those CERT members receiving US Presidential Awards for 20 years of service (gold) to the NR CERT and also those participating more than 10 years (silver) pins.
