The September meeting of the North Royalton Board of Education took place on September 11. The North Royalton Royal Harmony sang America the Beautiful in remembrance of the events of September 11. School Superintendent Greg Gurka highlighted the Quality Profile for the North Royalton Schools, stating that this is the third year in publication. Deer hunting rules and regulations outlined

The bow hunting of white tailed deer has begun in the city. To date, 80 permits have been issued, three of which are deer damage control permits, according to the North Royalton Police Chief’s office. That is almost double the 41 permits that were issued at this time last year. At the conclusion of the 2016-17 season, 187 deer were taken in North Royalton, with the following breakdown: Ward 1, eight deer with a deer damage permit, 77 deer with a hunting permit for a total of 85; Ward 2, deer with a deer damage permit, 13 deer with a hunting permit for a total of 13; Ward 3, no deer with a d ....

Fund-raiser goal is to help area Rhizo Kids

The Ninth Annual Rockin’ and Rollin’ for Rhizo Kids - Night at the Races, will be held September 23 to benefit RhizoKids Ohio. When Jake Cirner was diagnosed with RCDP at six months old, his parents were devastated. Imagine being told your child will most likely not live to see his second birthday. There was nowhere to go but up so Jake’s, proud and determined parents founded RhizoKids Ohio. Their mission is to continue to educate others, plus raise awareness and money for research to help other children and families faced with this rare condition. Historical Ridge Road home to be renovated

Unless a house is “For Sale by Owner,” it’s not extremely common for the current homeowner to meet the new buyer. And it’s even less common for the home’s previous residents to not only meet the current owner, but also the new buyer. Long-time Royalton treasured seniors thanked at banquet

Instead of calling it “The Old Timers Banquet,” how about a new name calling the luncheon to honor North Royalton’s “Most Treasured Residents.” Whatever name you call it, the Olde Timers Banquet is held every year during the North Royalton Community Festival. The event honors residents who helped North Royalton grow into the city that it is today. Those who were invited to lunch on Saturday, August 19, at Royal Redeemer Lutheran Church included those North Royalton residents who are at least 70 years of age and have lived in the city for at least 30 years.
