Recently, the North Royalton Police Department has received several calls regarding a scam. Residents have reported that a man knocks on their door and identifies himself as an employee from the Illuminating Company. He reportedly tells the residents that the Illuminating Company is replacing poles in the area and that power may be cut to the residence. He then tries to gain access to the home. Police are advising residents to be mindful of those coming to their door, claiming to be a utility worker. Other stories they could use is that they are there to check your meters, ....
Royalton Recorder marks 75 years of documenting life in North Royalton (Years 2007 - 2008)
The year 2007 brought an up-beat beginning for the North Royalton City School District. They were rated excellent for the sixth consecutive year, accepted a “State Superintendent School of Distinction Award, recognized one student who had a perfect ACT score, the NRHS women’s soccer team made it to a final four at the State Tournament level, the NRHS Marching Band got another excellent state rating in competition, and two teachers participated in NASA’s zero gravity project. Food Bank finds new home at Royal Redeemer Lutheran Church
As you may have read in our last edition, the North Royalton Food Bank has been relocated to Royal Redeemer Lutheran Church at the corner of Royalton and Abbey Roads. Instead of running from a huge responsibility of operating the Food Bank for a city of over 30,000 people, church members of Royal Redeemer are welcoming the challenge with open arms. “What a privilege it is for us to be able to partner with the city of North Royalton in this way. The Bears are building and future is bright
The first two months of the North Royalton Bears football season has been fraught with bad luck. After the first six weeks of the season, North Royalton had a 1-5 record. But, that record could easily be 4-2 or better if a couple of breaks went the Bears way. The string of bad luck goes back to the first pre-season scrimmage against Padua. Junior quarterback Christian Robinson was injured in that scrimmage forcing head coach Nick Ciulli and his coaching staff to find another signal caller.
