The first meeting of the North Royalton Board of Education took place on Monday, January 9. Assistant Superintendent Melissa Vojta gave a presentation on the curricular strategic plan goal relating to students who are English learners. The Board adopted the Fiscal Year 2023-24 Tax Budget. It then approved the Comprehensive Continuous Improvement Plan grant for 2022-23, in the amount of $652.63. The Board approved the following adjustment: 507 ESSER, from $1,436,473.27 to $1,437,125.90. City launches new interactive property map

After several months in the making, the City of North Royalton recently launched an online, interactive map of all resident, business and industrial properties in the City. The aim of the new offering was to streamline the information process for the public, which can now be had with a click of a button. Council passes 2023 budget

By GLORIA PLEVA KACIK Contributing Writer The 2023 budget for the City of North Royalton was unanimously adopted by City Council at their final meeting in December. Over the past several years, the budget discussions with city administrators and Council began in the fall of the previous year. City/Schools agree on new Memorial Park field lease

North Royalton City Council unanimously adopted legislation that will forge a new lease between the City and the North Royalton City School District for rights of the joint use and access of a portion of Memorial Park on State Road. This agreement is in addition to separate lease agreements in place for the tennis courts and basketball courts at Memorial Park. North Royalton High School bands finish 2022 on a Superior note

During the last few months, the North Royalton High School Band has been hard at work.  They concluded their marching band season performing at the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) State Finals in Columbus, where they received a superior rating.  This huge accomplishment is the result of months of practice to get their show titled “Carpe Diem” to the best level - and earning the highest rating possible from the panel of adjudicators.  Throughout the marching season, the band earned such honors as Best Overall Visual Effect, Best Overall Auxiliary, and Grand Champion Overall.
