NRPD completes lease of ten traffic cameras
North Royalton City Council has approved the lease of the Flock cameras at their December 20 meeting. Council introduced the legislation at its December 6 meeting to allow for the lease and installation of ten surveillance cameras. The ordinance was adopted six to one, introduced by Ward 6 Council Mike Wos and Ward 4 Council Jeremy Dietrich and co-sponsored by Ward 1 Council Rep John Nickell, authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with Flock Safety for cameras, installation and services for the North Royalton Police Department, for an amount not to exceed $28,500.00. Former Carrie Cerino’s property has new owners
The former Carrie Cerino’s Ristorante and Party Center has once again been purchased. This time, the property was purchased by MAHA Laxmi 8922, Incorporated, a family of area business owners. Carrie Cerino’s is located at 8922 Ridge Road in North Royalton. Carrie Cerino’s, closed abruptly on February 18, 2020. It was owned by the Cerino family since 1963. North Royalton High School recognizes students with Pride of NRHS Ceremony
North Royalton High School staff celebrated their students’ first quarter success in person and with their families on Thursday, November 17 in the new Community Room. Families were treated to a continental breakfast. Teachers nominated students in four categories (Achievement, Character, Engagement, and Leadership).They recognized these students and wrote personal nominations as to why they deserved their awards. The North Royalton Board of Education held their December meeting on Monday, December 12 Assistant Superintendent, Melissa Vojta, gave an update about an elementary reading program. The cheerleading coach also gave a presentation regarding the program. The Board authorized the Treasurer to request advances on the 2023 tax settlements.
