The North Royalton High School (NRHS) marching band capped off their successful season by earning a Superior rating at the OMEA State Marching Band Finals in Columbus on Saturday, October 28.
Performing their competition show “Fortune Favors the Bold” at Hilliard Bradley High School, the band received the highest rating possible, “Superior,” from the judging panel. This follows top awards at several competitions this fall including Best Music, Best Auxiliary, 1st Place, Reserve Grand Champion, and Grand Champion.
“It was an amazing way to end a challenging but rewarding season,” said Director of Bands David Vitale, North Royalton High School… “The students and staff worked incredibly hard, and it showed with their outstanding finale performance.”
With marching band wrapping up, the band now pivots to concert season. Upcoming performances include the NRHS Holiday Concerts on December 10 and 11. The marching band battery, Royalettes, and Royalaires will also march in the North Royalton Holiday Parade on November 26. Next spring, the band looks forward to performing at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom during their Orlando trip.
