The North Royalton Fire Department is sponsoring its 18th Annual Safety Fair and Open House on Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Safety Fair will be held at the North Royalton Fire Station, 7000 Royalton Road, and will kick off EMS week and include several special exhibits pertaining to safety issues relating to children. Last year’s event attracted approximately 500+ children and adults. There will be a lot to do and see, including fun and learning activities for the whole family! Refreshments will be served. Some of the exhibits included in this year’s event are:

• Child Car Seat Safety Checks – By Appointment only; call to schedule yours.
• Boost your Booty Display – Proper way to transport children between the ages of 4–8.
• North Royalton Police Department
• Traveling Fire Safety House
• University MedEvac
• Metro Hospital Burn Unit
• University Hospitals Parma Medical Center
• Ohio Department of Natural Resources
• Cleveland Metroparks Rangers Unit
• Cuyahoga County Office of Emergency Management
• ABC Fire Equipment
• Partnership for a Healthy North Royalton

There will also be signups for a raffle. Prizes being raffled off are bicycle helmets donated on behalf of North Royalton Fire Department and one lucky participant will be the winner of a new bicycle donated on behalf of The North Royalton Firefighters, Local 2156.
