In the spirit of this Season of Giving, the Fire Departments in the cities of North Royalton, Parma, Parma Heights, Brooklyn, Brooklyn Heights, Broadview Heights and Seven Hills, in conjunction and coordination with the University Hospitals Parma and the University Hospitals E.M.S. Training Institute, will sponsor a three-day “Stuff the Squad” event to benefit the local food banks within the respective communities.
Collectively, these communities are requesting the public throughout Northeast Ohio to support this effort by donating non-perishable food items at any local fire station within the eight (8) communities where we will attempt to completely “stuff” the squads, normally employed by the fire departments in the transportation of the sick and injured to the hospital with the food items.
The aforementioned event will take place for three days, December 13 and 14, at the local fire stations and will culminate with the “Stuff the Squad” on the 15th at the various locations listed within the attached flyer. This community-wide event is an attempt by the various agencies to effect a positive impact on their respective communities while taking a wide-ranging approach to ending hunger within throughout Northeast Ohio.
In addition to the collection of non-perishable food items, the Fire Departments, and University Hospitals Parma E.M.S. Training Institute, will be collecting new and unwrapped toys for the United States Marine Corps “Toys For Tots” initiative. The community can donate the toys at any fire station within the eight communities or at the various “Stuff the Squad” events on December 15.
