In just a few days, the Annual Grecian Festival kicks off at St. Paul Greek Orthodox Church, located at 4548 Wallings Road.
From July 18-21, all the festival favorites are back once again including delicious homemade ethnic foods and desserts, the talented St. Paul Hellenic Dancers, live Greek music, as well as authentic shopping merchandise from Greece.
St. Paul’s famous festival menu includes entrees like Pastitsio, Souvlaka, Gyro and sampler platters, as well as gyro and kabob sanwiches, Greek salad, and a large variety of delicious pastries. Authentic Greek wine, beer and liquor will also be available for purchase. The Greek Coffee House will be open to offer Greek coffee, as well as American coffee and tea. You’ll need something sweet to go along with your coffee, but not to worry, there will be a variety of yummy desserts, such as an assortment of tortes, traditional cookies and, of course, the ever-popular baklava!
If you’d prefer to skip the lines, food orders can be placed electronically at stpaulgoc.org/festival or by calling ahead at (440) 237-9601 for drive-thru service.
Another fan-favorite – the St. Paul Hellenic Dancers – will perform every evening under the tent. The Dancers perform traditional dances and wear authentic costumes handmade in Greece.
Parking and admission to the St. Paul Annual Grecian Festival is free. Parking is available in the St. Paul Greek Orthodox Church parking lot, or at Valley Vista Elementary School and the North Royalton Family YMCA. A shuttle service will be available Friday and Saturday evenings.
Festival hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, July 18; 11 a.m. to Midnight Friday, July 19, and Saturday, July 20; and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, July 21.
