Royalton Music Center has been sharing the joy of music for 50 years. The community is invited to join in the celebration of their golden anniversary and is welcome to attend special events, live music, instrument demonstrations, and super sales coming up in June.

“I am proud to continue to share the love for music that my grandparents, Ida and Richard Eleck, and my mother, Sheri Haas, have over the past five decades,” said Lauren Haas Amanfoh, the third-generation owner of Royalton Music Center. “Not only has Royalton Music Center been a part of my family history, but it has also been a part of this community’s history and growth serving generations of customers and their families.”

Royalton Music Center is more than a music store selling and repairing instruments. They are ambassadors of music education. Throughout the years, they have expanded their product and service offerings to include a nationally recognized lesson program, music therapy, and nationwide sales of professional instruments.

They offer a full line of band and orchestra instruments including guitars, amplifiers, percussion equipment, keyboards, and a large selection of sheet music and accessory items. For beginner students, they offer a rental program with the option to purchase or return the instrument.

Royalton Music Center repairs and restores all band, orchestra, and fretted strings instruments. Instruments receive the tender loving care they need to make beautiful music again.

Throughout the years, Royalton Music Center has taught numerous students, from infants to senior citizens. Their lesson program has grown from teaching 15 students to more than 650. Their nationally recognized teaching program includes all band and orchestra instruments, piano, guitar, drum, and voice. Students perform recitals and can participate in their summer jazz band, an interactive rock band, group guitar and ukulele lessons, a string ensemble, and exclusive master classes and clinics with Cleveland Orchestra members. They offer classes for parents and their infant/toddler and private lessons for students ages 5 and up. Royalton Music Center has made music therapy accessible to special needs individuals. “Music therapy can provide mental and physical health benefits for many individuals at any age,” said Lauren. “Music therapy has helped those with Down’s syndrome, Autism, Alzheimer’s disease, and speech therapy needs.” They offer an elite collection of professional instruments under the name Professional Suite by RMC. Customers can call for a private appointment, and Professional Suite experts will help them customize their instrument to fit their needs and budget.

As education partners with The Cleveland Orchestra and partnering with outreach programs like The City Mission, Royalton Music Center works to help make music accessible to as many people as they can. “I am so pleased when someone discovers the joy of music for the first time,” said Lauren. “When I receive a photo of a child in Africa playing a kazoo that Royalton Music Center donated, I feel so blessed to have helped make that possible.”

Royalton Music Center was selected as a Top 100 Dealer by the National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) and is the only store in Ohio to receive the honor three years running. Royalton Music Center was selected from over 9,000 other music stores worldwide. NAMM is a non-profit association supporting the global musical instruments and products industry and promoting the pleasures and benefits of making music.
