With Easter fast approaching, the North Royalton Administration, City Council, and the North Royalton Lions Club are supplying some festive events for the occasion.  Of course, these events cannot take place without the help of some special residents, who work behind the scenes and also deserve a big thanks!

North Royalton Easter Bunny Tour

On Saturday, April 9, keep an eye out for the Easter Bunny!   Bunny will be cruising through North Royalton neighborhoods in the Euclid Beach Rocket Car as part of his City Easter Tour, back for a second time this year.  He will start the tour at City Hall on State Road at about 11 a.m., head south, circle back north and tour the City, where he will end at about 2 p.m. at the City Green, located at the corner of Royalton Road, Ridge Road and Bennett Road. He’ll be hopping over to the Green to take pictures with the kiddies!  Look for the Bunny’s route in this issue.

The CLE Market

The CLE Market is back this year, with the first one to also be taking place on April 9, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m  What a great place to shop while you wait for Mr. Bunny!  “The market will showcase thirty vendors, including local businesses, selling high quality foods, baked goods, art, textiles, flowers and more,” according to Cle Market officials.  CLE Markets were first established in 2020 in northeast Ohio.

The following is this year’s CLE Market schedule for North Royalton; Saturday hours are from 11 a.m. to 3 p .m on the following dates:  May 21, Saturday, June 11, Saturday, July 9, Saturday, August 13, Saturday, September 10, Saturday.

North Royalton Lions Club Easter Egg Hunt

An annual favorite!  On Sunday, April 10, the North Royalton Lions Club will host its Easter Egg Hunt.  This well-loved event will take place, starting at 1 p.m. at Memorial Park, located at 14600 State Road.  This event has been taking place annually for more than thirty years, originally sponsored by the North Royalton Kiwanis, and is now hosted by the Lions Club.  “Last year it was pouring, but they still came out!  Hopefully, this year we’ll have better weather,” stated Lions Club Vice President, Dan Lester.

The treasure trove of about 2,000 eggs is filled with goodies and are ready to go!  “We got them done within about two and a half hours,” said Linda Arduini, Executive Director of Royalton Woods Assisted Living.  “We have a lot of worker bees.  This year, we had about twenty residents.  They were really quick to volunteer.  They share their stories of their past Easters and memories that they have of  Easter egg hunts, which really makes it special.”  Arduini and Royalton Woods have been involved in the North Royalton Easter Egg Hunt for at least eighteen years.  It started when Arduini was a member of the Kiwanis, and it has continued as an annual event at Royalton Woods since then.

Lions Club members, with the help of some members of the North Royalton Key Club, will be depositing the colorful cache throughout the grounds of Memorial Park, to the delight of many North Royalton children.
