The July meeting of the North Royalton Board of Education took place on Thursday, July 18.
School Superintendent Mike Laub gave an update on the District’s food service.
The Board approved the Comprehensive Continuous Improvement Plan grants for 2024-25 as listed:

The Board approved an agreement to renew dental insurance with Oasis Trust (TRUSTMARK) from October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025, for employee dental benefits.
The Board approved the following textbooks for the 2024-25 school year: Pre-K On My Way National English Complete.
The Board approved the 2024-25 student/parent handbooks.
The Board approved the following agreements for the 2024-25 school year: Music Therapy Enlightenment Center for music therapy services; Educational Service Center of Northeast Ohio for district services, as needed (teachers of visually impaired, functional low vision screening, orientation, mobility trainer, rehabilitation specialist, braille services); Positive Education Program/PEP Assist for services; B & D Towing for towing services, Education Plus, LLC for federal E-rate program application and process.
The Board approved the use of buses for the 2024-25 school year to transport:
High School band members and others involved to football games and band contests in the Northeast Ohio area; Graduating seniors, band members, and others involved to the State Theatre in Cleveland, Ohio for Commencement in June, and other activities pertaining to graduation; and Students and others involved in field trips.
The Board approved the trip proposal of the North Royalton High School Girls Soccer Team (Pre-season scrimmages) in Columbus, Ohio, July 19-21,2024.
The Board then adjourned into executive session to discuss matters required to be kept confidential by State and Federal law, to consider the appointment of a public employee or official, and to consider the sale of property at competitive bidding.
The next regular Board meeting will take place on Thursday, August 15, at 5:30 p.m. at the North Royalton High School Community Room.
