On Saturday, October 25, the North Royalton High School Marching Band traveled to Columbus to participate in the OMEA State Marching Band Finals. Here, the 240 member Band earned the highest rating possible, and earned their 35th Consecutive Superior Rating at the State Marching Band Finals. This is the result of a lot of hard work both by the students and band staff.
Their 2025 show, titled, “Reflections,” has earned many titles and trophies this year at various marching band competitions, including, First Place in Class AA, Best Overall Music, Best Overall Visual, Best Auxiliary in Class AA, and Grand Champion. Director of Bands, David Vitale comments, “The band has worked very hard this season, and it is exciting to see the show develop, and to see the students’ skills improve and progress to a very high level. We have worked to refine the show; we have incorporated Adjudicator feedback throughout the season, and to see the final product down in Columbus at the State Finals shows a lot of growth from the students and a tremendous amount of work and effort from the entire group as well as the Band Staff.”
The band concluded their marching season with their annual “End-of-Season Concert” on Tuesday, October 28, in Gym 1, and then will begin working in Concert Band Season, preparing for their next performances, which are the upcoming Holiday Concerts in December.
