Community Festival food, fireworks and fun
On Saturday, Aug. 23, the North Royalton Community Festival returned for a one-day celebration, drawing neighbors, families and friends to the City Green at Ridge and Royalton Roads. Hosted by the North Royalton Chamber of Commerce, this year’s condensed format may have looked different, but the spirit of the festival remained the same. Visitors lined up for favorite foods, enjoyed live entertainment, cheered at the parade, and ended the day with a dazzling fireworks show. Lions treat Olde Timers to a roaring good time
The annual Olde Timers Luncheon, hosted by the North Royalton Lions Club, is far more than a meal—it is a celebration of legacy, and community. It was held in the auditorium of Royal Redeemer Lutheran Church that throws open it’s doors to those Olde Timers who signed up to attend. “We read about it in the Recorder, so we signed up,” is often heard. Every year there are “new” Olde Timers as folks attain the age of 3 score and 10 years – that’s 70, and have lived in North Royalton for 30 years or more. The August meeting of the North Royalton Board of Education took place on Thursday, August 21. Assistant Superintendent Melissa Vojta introduced a presentation on Middle School and High School transition programs. School Board Approves District Pay Raises
With the beginning of August, many North Royalton School District Employees received raises, which were adopted by the North Royalton Board of Education. The Board unanimously approved a contract at their May 15 School Board meeting with the North Royalton Education Association (NREA), for the period of August 1, 2025 through July 31, 2028. The NREA is the union that represents the district’s teachers, therapists, counselors, and psychologists. Under the new contract in August, 2025, the range for Certificated/Licensed Salary ranges from $50,489 to $107,938. In 2026 the range is from $50,48 ....
