North Royalton places in Top 20 Safest Cities
North Royalton has ranked fourteenth among the top twenty cities in Ohio this year. That is according to the SafeWise rankings, who recently released its sixth annual Safest Cities in Ohio report. “Our safest cities rankings celebrate communities with the lowest numbers of reported crimes. The May meeting of the North Royalton Board of Education took place on Monday, May 11. The meeting was conducted as a virtual meeting, in keeping with the then-current stay-at-home order of the state. The Board approved the following appropriation adjustment: 019 Other Grants Fund from 169,516.16 to $201,807.26. An increase of $32,291.10. The Board approved the 2020 five year forecast. Sprague Road fire takes pets, spares family
In the afternoon hours of Wednesday, May 13, the North Royalton Fire Department was dispatched to a home on the report of a fire. The call came in at 4:20 p.m. by a passer-by for a fire at a home at 3005 Sprague Road. There were two teenagers that were in the home at the time. They were frantically coming out of the house, at the time the call came in” according to North Royalton Fire Chief, Bob Chegan. “The origin of the fire was in the garage area. Local churches welcome parishioners with new safety practices
