The August meeting of the North Royalton Board of Education took place on Monday, August 12. The Board appointed Superintendent Gregory J. Gurka, or his designee, as the Board’s Hearing Officer for all suspension hearings and expulsions. The Board approved account 200-978B High School Class of 2023 and approved the transfer of $6,588.10 from the High School Class of 2019 Council account to the High School Student account. A resolution was approved by the Board that authorizes the execution of the Guaranteed Maximum Price 3.1 for the new elementary school in an amount not to exceed $34,91 ....

The first day of school is less than two weeks away for students of Saint Albert the Great At Assumption Academy. The new school year marks the official start of Saint Albert the Great’s multi-year management of Assumption Academy, which stood on the brink of closure last year. Furry friends and their owners revel in annual Pet Carnival festivities
It wasn’t just dogs who stole the show at this year’s 14th annual Pet Carnival sponsored by North Royalton Animal Hospital and Paws At Play Resort and Daycare. Generosity on display at ‘Stuff the Bus’ event
The generosity of North Royalton residents and businesses was once again on display July 27 at a “Stuff the Bus” event supporting the “Supplying Success” community school supply drive. Led by North Royalton teen and member of Boy Scout Troop 526 Robert Pafford, the event was aimed to “stuff” a parked school bus with school supply donations. It succeeded and filled 12 boxes worth of school supplies, Pafford said.
