Abbey Road closed for 30 days during Route 82 Widening
Although there are construction projects all over town, the main project is still the Rt. 82 widening project, which affects the main thoroughfare of North Royalton. The Rt. 82 widening project converts Royalton Road, which runs east/west through North Royalton, from a two lane road to a three lane road, with six-foot sidewalks and seven-foot tree lawns one each side, as well as two 15-foot lanes and an 11-foot turning lane, completing a span of 78 feet. Love of reading leads to Eagle Scout library project
North Royalton Boy Scout Evan Porter wanted to share his love of reading while trying to attain the highest rank of the Boy Scout organization - Eagle Scout. He recently completed a Little Free Library at Memorial Park at 14600 State Road. Porter is a member of Boy Scout Troop 526. He officially attained the rank of Eagle Scout on June 11. The North Royalton Board of Education held their regular monthly meeting on Monday, June 10. The Board announced the resignation of Dr. Susan Clark from the Board, effective June 26. County warns of Social Security scams
A new scam is being reported by the Cuyahoga County Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) Scam Squad. Someone is calling and posing as a Social Security employee or law enforcement officer, saying the intended victims are about to be arrested because their Social Security number was linked to a drug crime in a border state.
