School Board reacts to State Plan Proposals

At the April 10 regularly scheduled North Royalton School Board meeting, the Board resolved to support Ohio’s Fair School Funding Plan. They also resolved to oppose a proposed cap on School District Reserves. Both are included in the State’s proposed biennium budget. Earlier this month, the Ohio House passed Ohio House Bill 96, the two-year operating budget totaling about $61 billion, which includes some proposed changes in school funding. Hopping good time at the annual Easter Egg Hunt

The North Royalton Lions Club hosted the annual Easter Egg Hunt from 1-2 p.m. Sunday, April 13, at the North Royalton Memorial Park Playground. The weather was perfect and the turnout was outstanding. More than 300 children were in attendance to hunt for eggs. There were volunteers from CrossFields Church and North Royalton High School Key Club along with North Royalton Lions members hiding thousands of eggs on the grounds for the children. Opening of new Senior Center is delayed

Plans for the opening of the new North Royalton Senior Center are getting closer, but have been delayed from the previously targeted spring opening. The project has had some bumps, since its start in 2022. At the April 19, 2022, North Royalton City Council meeting, it was announced that the School District and City are in the process of securing an agreement to transform a portion of the former Royal View Elementary School into a City senior center.
