Small Business Saturday, a movement launched in 2010 by American Express, celebrates these sentiments and the bonds local retailers make that keep local economies strong. The day is heralded throughout the country on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, which falls this year on Nov. 24. Police officer investigated after charges challenged

A veteran police officer in the North Royalton Police Department is being investigated after a judge’s ruling challenged his charges of an OVI. A man was pulled over in April for a tinted window violation and a non-operating license plate light. The man was ultimately charged for those two misdemeanors, as well as OVI, Failure to Comply with Order or Signal of Police Officer and Resisting Arrest. Thanksgiving weekend ends with Holiday Lighting of the Green

We’re entering that time of year when Santa Claus gets ready for his big day and holiday lights illuminate houses, buildings and trees. Santa has his calendar circled for Sunday, November 25, for a visit to the City Green in North Royalton. And you should, too! The November meeting of the North Royalton Board of Education took place on Monday, November 5. Brinkman pleads guilty in 2017 murders

A man charged with the deaths of five Ohioans has pleaded guilty to the murder of three victims, all of which were North Royalton residents. Earlier this month, George Brinkman recently changed his plea to guilty to the aggravated murder charges in the death of three North Royalton women last year. Suzanne Taylor was found with her daughters, Taylor Pifer and Kylie Pifer, dead in their Ridge Road home in June 2017.
