The November meeting of the North Royalton Board of Education took place on Monday, November 5. Brinkman pleads guilty in 2017 murders
A man charged with the deaths of five Ohioans has pleaded guilty to the murder of three victims, all of which were North Royalton residents. Earlier this month, George Brinkman recently changed his plea to guilty to the aggravated murder charges in the death of three North Royalton women last year. Suzanne Taylor was found with her daughters, Taylor Pifer and Kylie Pifer, dead in their Ridge Road home in June 2017. Taste of North Royalton serves up smiles, support
If the North Royalton City Schools were a meal to be enjoyed, it would be a warm, welcoming plate of hearty, perfectly blended flavors that complemented one another and begged for seconds. This imaginary meal and its characteristics came to life and were loved by many Nov. 1 as the North Royalton Educational Foundation and North Royalton Stadium Foundation cooked up its annual Taste of North Royalton event. Schools pay special tribute to Veterans
Veterans Day was celebrated throughout North Royalton Schools, especially at the elementary schools. In the Saint Albert the Great Church Parish Hall, Army Staff Sgt. Scott Madzia holds his daughter, Emmalynn, close as she snuggles into his uniform during a program honoring Veterans Day. “It means a lot that they do this because it takes a lot of effort,” Madzia says as he looks around at a display of commemorative student-written essays and collection of military heirlooms and items. Former Little Miss North Royalton to perform in Great Lakes Theater production of “A Christmas Carol”
Christmas has come early for 11-year-old Corlyn Stauffer, who was recently cast in the Great Lakes Theater production of “A Christmas Carol,” celebrating its 30th anniversary year and widely recognized as one of Cleveland’s favorite holiday traditions. Corlyn, the daughter of North Royalton Dance Academy Creative Director and Owner Amy Stauffer, has been cast as a Street Child and the “Swing,” a theater term that refers to a performer tasked with playing one or more roles when someone else is out due to illness or obligation.
