North Royalton alum to coach CSU men’s soccer

Kirk Harwat, who grew up in North Royalton, and graduated from North Royalton High School, has been named as the new Head Coach of the Men’s Soccer team at Cleveland State University. Harwat was an assistant coach at Cleveland State for the last five years under Ali Kazemaini. Before the 2016 season began, Coach Kazemaini announced that he would step down at the end of the season to spend more time with his family and concentrate on personal business. Taste of North Royalton:  Delicious way to raise funds for schools/stadium

It was a night to celebrate with good food and good friends. That was the recipe for the sixth annual “Taste of North Royalton” event held Thursday November 3 at the St. Paul Hellenic Center. The event was held in support of the North Royalton Education Foundation and the North Royalton Stadium Foundation. Looking at the scoreboard on the night, there were plenty of impressive numbers. Valley Vista School acquires a new fitness trail

In an effort to impact the fostering of a healthier lifestyle for the students and parents of Valley Vista Elementary School, a new fitness trail was recently completed. A presentation of the project was given at the November 7 School Board meeting, which was introduced by Valley Vista Principal, Jeff Hill, and presented by Physical Education teacher, Nathan Costello.
