North Royalton scores in Best High School Rankings
This year, the North Royalton High School showed a slight increase in the ranks of Ohio High Schools, from 73 last year, to 72 this year, according to the U.S. News and World Report 2024 rankings of public schools. The April meeting of the North Royalton Board of Education took place on Thursday, April 11. Assistant Superintendent Melissa Vojta gave a presentation on the Math and English Arts curriculum review, committee findings and recommendations. Two City Grants will improve City Green and Memorial Park
North Royalton City Council passed two pieces of legislation that would accept grants for the City Green and Memorial Park. These are the second and third grants accepted this year. At the April 16 Council meeting, the first ordinance was unanimously adopted, introduced by Mayor Larry Antoskiewicz, that authorizes the Mayor and Community Development Director to accept a grant from the Cuyahoga County Supplemental Grant Program for a Community Development Supplemental Grant for construction of wayfinding and landscaping improvements on the City Green in an amount of $50,000. Was it worth the hype? Was it worth precautions? Was it worth the celebration? You bet! It was the biggest solar event in northern Ohio since 1806. For four magical minutes, the entire region turned to night. Our rotating earth and revolving moon danced together to block the sun, creating a slice of night in the afternoon sky.
