Council updates Food Truck Legislation
Council unanimously adopted legislation updating ordinances regarding mobile food units, commonly known as food trucks. The North Royalton City Council adopted legislation regulating food trucks in 2021 after over a year of discussions. Up until that point, food trucks were allowed in the city through the use of special event permits. Council introduces Term Extension Legislation
City Council introduced legislation at their June 6 meeting that would place the question of extending the terms of each Ward Council Representative from the current two years, to four years. The measure was introduced by Ward 1 Council Rep John Nickell, Ward 2 Council Rep Linda Barath, Ward 3 Council Rep Joanne Krejci, Ward 4 Council Rep Jeremy Dietrich, Ward 5 Council Rep Heidi Webber and Ward 6 Council Rep Mike Wos. Graduates celebrate, commence next phase
The 117th commencement of North Royalton High School began with practice in the school gym on June 1. All 332 students attended this practice. The gym was set up exactly the way the seating was on stage at the State Theater. Everyone knew their place in line and how to move to the correct row and seat. On Friday, June 2, all graduates took a final school bus ride from the school gym to the State Theater. North Royalton City Schools use of a Therapy Dog is approved
The North Royalton City Schools (NRCS) and the City of North Royalton have entered into a memorandum of understanding, accepting an addendum regarding the School Resource Officers, permitting the use of a therapy dog. The North Royalton City Council unanimously adopted legislation at its June 6 meeting that authorizes the Mayor to enter into the agreement. School Board sends legislative platform to Ohio School Board
The North Royalton Board of Education agreed to send a legislative platform to the Ohio School Board Association (OSBA) in the hopes to have the items integrated into their platform, which is amended each year. The North Royalton School District is a member of the state school board.
