SPRAGUE ROAD TO GET A FACE LIFT

The North Royalton City Council unanimously adopted legislation at their April 15 meeting that would allow the final leg of the Sprague Road project to proceed. The repaving of the final section of Sprague Road, just under two miles, from State Road to Broadview Road, had been put on hold last year.

Severe weather in the form of tornadoes, hail and flash floods can very well be a part of Spring weather in this area. The North Royalton CERT wants to know if you are ready. “You may need to survive on your own after an emergency. This means having your own food, water, and other supplies in sufficient quantity to last for at least three days. Local officials and relief workers will be on the scene after a disaster, but they cannot reach everyone immediately. You could get help in hours, or it might take days. NRHS MARCHING BAND MEMBERS STAR IN DISNEY PARADE

Band members discovered the magic of Disney as they performed for an audience of park guests at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World Resort, Florida during spring break, March 25 through March 29. Disney is home to plenty of stars, but the students shined as they marched down Main Street U.S.A. giving their best performance. Before the band headed to palm trees and sunshine, members attended mandatory practices to prepare. Their hard work paid off as they were in the spotlight of entertaining vacationers.

“Eat your supper, brush your teeth, and clean up your toys.” If you have children, these are words you have spoken countless times. Getting young children to behave well can be a challenge. But thanks to one local family, help is on the way. The Harrison family, mom Tania, dad James, their seven-year-old daughter Symonne, and the family’s best friend, Julie Vaccarelli, are bringing a new patent-pending product to life, “Bear on the ChairTM,” a year-round behavior buddy.

POT HOLES WREAK HAVOC ON OUR VEHICLES

Spring? Some people look for telltale signs of spring with the coming and going of certain birds in the area. Others look at the poking through of certain spring flowers. For North Royalton Service Director, Nick Cinquepalmi, the sign comes in the form of the opening of the hot asphalt plant. He has been in contact with the plant and was happy to hear that they planned to open this week, weather permitting. “They really do want to get going,” said Cinquepalmi. “We want to get these roads fixed.
