Violators of Stop for School Bus Law may face jail time
Even though the laws in North Royalton have been strengthened regarding drivers stopping for school buses that are picking up or dropping off children, the numbers of those disregarding the law seems to be increasing. North Royalton Law Director Tom Kelly noted that at a recent Council Safety Committee meeting, that North Royalton Police Chief Keith Tarase mentioned that in the past month or so, there have been nine more citations issued for school bus violations. Council looks at medical marijuana dispensary options
Representatives from the Medical Marijuana Dispensary, The Botanist, addressed City Council at their November 15 Building and Building Codes Committee meeting about bringing a medical marijuana dispensary to North Royalton. Although Ohio has a medical marijuana law, passed in 2016, the city of North Royalton currently has laws that place restrictions on the production and distribution of marijuana. Council passed legislation in 2018 that prohibits “ all cultivators, processors, or retail dispensaries licensed under Chapter 3796 of the Ohio Revised Code within the city,” according to Ordin ....
21st Annual Holiday Lighting set for Sunday, Nov. 27

Third School Resource Officer for North Royalton Schools is named
The new Student Resource Officer for the North Royalton School District was announced by North Royalton Police Chief Keith Tarase. The new SRO has completed his initial SRO training with the Ohio School Resource Officers Association in October.
