Harvest Fest canceled, will be part of Halloween Madness

Mayor Larry Antoskiewicz recently announced that the annual Harvest Festival that was scheduled for Sunday, September 18, has been canceled. He added that the Halloween Madness event, scheduled for Saturday, October 22, will not only go on, but be enhanced with some of the events that would have been included with the Harvest Fest. The Harvest Fest has taken place for many years, sponsored by the Holiday Lighting Committee. The event started as a fund-raiser to help pay for the holiday lights on the City Green. November election will have GOP write-in candidate

Although Republican voters in North Royalton did not have a candidate for an Ohio House Representative to vote for in the August 2 primary, they will have an opportunity to elect a Republican candidate come November 8. The only catch is that they will have to remember the name of the candidate, write it in and fill in the little oval on the left. North Royalton resident and attorney Nicholas E. The August meeting of the North Royalton Board of Education took place on Monday, August 15. During the June 29 meeting, the minutes were questioned by Board Member Jeremiah Sawyer, who stated that the conclusion regarding discussion on parental/children’s rights at that meeting, was that the District’s lawyer was going to address the Board with policy options. “All he did, was come in and defend his recommendation,” said Sawyer. Results in record-setting proceeds for 4-H Youth and Scholarship Fund Local community businesses and individuals smashed auction records on Saturday night, August 13, at the annual 4-H Jr. Fair Livestock Auction at the 125th Cuyahoga County Fair, doubling the previous year proceeds, for a total of $61,680. Residents see higher utility bills and react

North Royalton residents who have recently received their electric bills may have noticed that their bills seem rather high. They may have thought that the bill was high due to the hot weather experienced this summer. They may be only half correct. Those residents who are NOPEC customers may want to check the “charges from NOPEC” in the middle right section of the first page of the bill.
