Ohio House passes Transgender Bill
Earlier this month, the 134th General Assembly Ohio House of Representative passed legislation to ban transgender girls and women from playing college and high school women’s sports. Ohio House Bill 151, passed 56 to 28. If passed in the Senate and signed by the Governor, this would affect the policies of the Ohio High School Athletic Association, the National Collegiate Athletic Association and the National Junior College Athletic Association, who do currently have policies that allow for transgender athletes to participate in women’s sports. Seniors attend Commencement full of happiness, hope and anticipation
It is June 3, 2022, 5:15 p.m. All students have reported to Gym 1 of the high school. This is it! They report to their assigned seats, last minute instructions are given, a last-minute restroom stop is encouraged, and the entire class takes a final field trip on school buses to Playhouse Square. North Royalton High School graduation is always a very special occasion, Families watch their graduates make their way proudly across the stage as their names are called. High school is over and a whole new part of their lives is opening; that is why they call it commencement. Commencement means at the beginning. Varsity baseball team wins District Final, heads to “Sweet 16”
The North Royalton Varsity Baseball team is heading back to the “Sweet 16” in the OHSAA Division One State Baseball Tournament. In an exciting District Final game on May 26, at Talty Field at Brookside Reservation, the Bears defeated Avon 5-4 in 11 innings. North Royalton will play Kenston High School in the Regional Semi-finals at Louisville High School in Stark County on Thursday, June 2. Seniors party at prom, graduate, and prepare for next phase of life
Big gold balloon 2022 numerals stood at least five feet high in the entrance to the North Royalton High School prom held this year at the Weymouth Country Club in Medina. It is the first prom in two years that has been held in the elegance of an indoor venue. The members of the senior class and their guests enjoyed an evening of dinner and dancing as their four-year high school adventure quickly draws to a close. Booking arrangements for this year’s prom venue were made a year in advance; the senior class began planning the theme and décor in January. Tickets for the prom were $70 for dinne ....
