City Council explores canine shock collars

City Council members are exploring the possibility of allowing the use of shock collars on dogs as a means of control when residents take them off of their property. This topic came up when a Kingston Way Drive resident addressed Council at the May 19 Council Safety Committee meeting. Bellarmine house fire causes significant damage

The North Royalton Fire Department was dispatched when a fire broke out on a house on Bellarmine Drive on Wednesday, May 11. Council looks to ban the ban on bags

The North Royalton City Council will be looking at legislation that would ban the Cuyahoga County ban on plastic bags. The measure was brought up by Ward 1 Council Representative John Nickell at the May 19 Council Building and Building Codes Committee. Smash and Grab incidents are increasing

Report of another smash and grab incident has taken place in North Royalton. This is the ninth incident reported since the beginning of the year. A smash and grab is a type of burglary that involves smashing a window or a showcase in a store, grabbing valuables, and then making a quick getaway, without being concerned for setting off alarms or creating noise.
