Drug Take-Back Day collects unwanted and expired meds

At the last Drug Take-Back Day, the collection of unused, unwanted or expired prescription and over-the-counter medications totaled 252.2 pounds. Residents dropped off their medications on Saturday, October 23, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Timber Ridge Plaza on the north side of town and in the center of town, in the Giant Eagle parking lot. Students being surveyed about health issues

At the North Royalton Board of Education’s September 13 meeting, the Board approved an agreement with Ohio University to provide data use and confidentiality when using The Ohio Healthy Youth Environments Survey (OHYES!), that will be administered to grades 7 through 12. The survey is used to measure the health risk behaviors and environmental factors that impact youth health and safety. OHYES! is a voluntary online survey that is administered by the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services and is taken during a class period and usually takes about twenty minutes. Ever since she was nine years old, Katie Galuska has had a dream, to dot the “I” at Ohio Stadium when the OSU Marching Band performs Script Ohio at halftime of a Buckeye Football Game. Residents are reminded to obey school bus safety laws

Every year all school children in the state of Ohio are required to practice how to board and exit the school bus safely. In addition to boarding a school bus, the students review how to exit the bus quickly and safely in an emergency with the direction of a bus driver. These are safety precautions that are taken each year to help ensure the students have the knowledge and the skill necessary to act appropriately in an emergency. Rita tax refund is possible for some

At the October 19 Council Finance Committee meeting, North Royalton Finance Director Eric Dean reported that the temporary COVID-related change that was announced earlier this year by the Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA), will be ending at the end of 2021.
