The filing deadline for the November 2 election candidates has passed and candidates for various positions in both the City Council and School Board, as well as Parma Municipal Court, have been named. The deadline for November 7 election was August 4, at 4:00 p.m.
One position in the Parma Municipal Court for Judge, full term commencing January 1, 2022 is being sought by current Judge Timothy P. Gilligan. Another position in the Parma Municipal Court for the position of Clerk, full term commencing January 1, 2022, is being sought by Marty Vittardi.
The time line for the November 2 election is as follows:
September 17, Absentee ballots to be mailed; October 4, Voter registration closes; October 5, Opening of vote by mail; October 30, Absentee Ballot application deadline; November 1, Voting in Person at the Board of Elections ends and all Absentee ballots postmark deadline; November 2, Election Day (6:30 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.) and all overseas Vote by Mail ballots must be submitted to be received by November 7. Also, all absentee ballots returned in person must be received at the Board of Elections by 7:30 p.m.
