The April meeting of the North Royalton Board of Education took place on Thursday, April 10.
The Board approved the following tax budget for the next succeeding fiscal year, commencing January 1, 2026, to be levied within and without the ten-mill limitation as follows:
General Fund Inside, 5.00; General Fund Outside, 51.00; Total General Fund, 56.00; Permanent Improvement Fund Inside, 1.00; Permanent Improvement Fund Outside, .50; Bond Retirement Fund, 3.40; Grand Total, 60.90.
The Board approved the following 2024-25 appropriation adjustments:
Fund 022 – District Agency, from $38,734.19 to $42,455.19; 499 – Miscellaneous State Grants, from $91.72 to $18,245.84; 451 – Data Communication Fund, from $5,850.00 to $5,973.42.
The Board approved an agreement with Julian & Grube, Incorporated for procedures for the Medicaid School Program cost requests for the fiscal year, ending June 30, 2026.

The Board resolved to employ Steffani Cicerchi as Director of Pupil Services, effective August 1, 2025, with a three year contract containing a starting salary of $108,800.00.

The Board acknowledged the following appreciation weeks: Administrative Professionals Day (April 23, 2025) and Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week (May 5-9, 2025), stating that “the Board appreciates the outstanding efforts of all employees of North Royalton City Schools and commends them for “making the difference” in providing a quality educational experience by inspiring and empowering learners.”
The Board adopted a resolution honoring community volunteers and acknowledging National Volunteer Week (April 20-26, 2025).
The Board authorized a contract with Cleveland Electric as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for the North Royalton High School Auditorium theatrical lighting for an amount not to exceed $165,000.00.
A resolution was approved authorizing CD Whitfield Company as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for a boiler replacement for the North Royalton High School for an amount not to exceed $340,000.00.
The Board amended an agreement with Applewood Centers, Incorporated (Reserve School) for special education programs and services at a daily rate of $298.91 for the remaining of the 2024-25 school year.
The Board approved an agreement with Positive Education Program/Pep Assist for an additional five days of services for this 2024-25 school year.
The Board approved a three-year agreement with Certified Pest Control for the stadium, board office, bus garage, high school, middle school and elementary school from March 20, 2025 to March 20, 2028.
The Board accepted and acknowledge the following gifts/donations:
-The North Royalton Soccer Club donated $275 to North Royalton High School, $275 to the North Royalton Middle School and $275 to the District for use of the District fields for soccer practice.
-The OtterCares Foundation donated $275 to the North Royalton Elementary for classroom supplies and resources.
The Board resolved to support Ohio’s Fair School Funding Plan. They also resolved to oppose a cap on School District Reserves. (See Board Reacts to State Plans)
The next regular Board of Education meeting will take place on Thursday, May 15, at the North Royalton High School Community Room.
