Even though it’s only February, the City Event Committee has already organized the list of city-sponsored events for 2024. This will be the third year the committee has gathered to offer opportunities for residents to gather as neighbors of North Royalton.
Three events have been added to last year’s offerings. The Solar Eclipse Bash will take place on April 8; the Touch-a-Truck/National Police Night Out will take place on August 6; and a second Parkapalooza will take place on September 21.
Here is the rundown for the 2024 Events:

Although the City’s budget contributes to the cost of offering these events, donations and sponsorships are being sought from residents and businesses to help subsidize the cost. Donation forms can be found on the City’s website northroyalton.org. Completed donation forms can be returned to North Royalton City Hall, 14600 State Road. Questions can be directed to the Mayor’s Office at 440-237-5686.
For those who are marking their calendars, the following is the City’s rubbish removal schedule:
Memorial Day: Monday, May 27, 2024 – Service will NOT occur on Monday, May 27. Service will be delayed one day during the rest of the week.
Independence Day: Thursday, Jul. 4, 2024 – Service will occur as normal on Monday, July 1, 2024, Tuesday, July 2, 2024, and Wednesday, July 3, 2024. Service will be delayed on one day during the rest of the week.
Labor Day: Monday, Sep. 2, 2024 – Service will NOT occur on Monday, Sept. 2. Service will be delayed one day during the rest of the week.
Thanksgiving Day: Thursday, Nov. 28, 2024 – Customers with service on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will NOT be affected by Thanksgiving. Service will NOT occur on Thanksgiving Day, and service will be delayed one day for the rest of the week.
Christmas Day: Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2024 – Service will NOT occur on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2024. Service will occur as normal on Monday, December 23, and Tuesday, December 24, 2024. Service will be delayed one day during the rest of the week.
New Year’s Day: Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025 – Service will NOT occur on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025. Service will occur as normal on Monday, December 30, and Tuesday, December 31, 2024. Service will be delayed one day during the rest of the week.
