The North Royalton Fire Department will be hosting an Open House to wrap up Fire Prevention Week. Charitable school supply drive ceases collection

The income-eligible families of school children in need will have to look elsewhere next year for assistance with obtaining school supplies. The annual “Operation NR Cares” charitable drive held its final collection this summer, assisting more than 50 local children with receiving new supplies for the school year. The Office on Aging and Human Services, which organizes the event year-after-year, is fostering a newfound partnership with University Hospitals Center for Lifelong Health, and will take a step back to focus on Senior Center programming, said Outreach Specialist Debra Burrows. ....

NR Educational Foundation receives $25,000 grant to purchase adaptive bikes

State Farm recently announced the Top 40 http://www.neighborhoodassist.com causes that received the most votes in the Neighborhood Assist campaign. Each will receive a $25,000 grant to improve their community. In just ten days, 119,000 people cast 3.1 million votes in support of their favorite cause. As a result, 40 communities, in 24 states, including Ohio, will be getting an assist from State Farm. The North Royalton Educational Foundation, on behalf of North Royalton City Schools, landed in the Top 40 and will use the $25,000 grant to purchase adaptive bicycles for teachers and therapists ....

Credit card skimmer found at North Royalton gas station

In the world of technology come a lot of things that consumers need to be mindful and watchful. A recent incident locally was the installation of a credit card skimmer at a local gas station. “Skimming is a type of credit card theft where crooks use a small device to steal credit card information in an otherwise legitimate credit or debit card transaction. Big weekend ahead with Farm Tour and Harvest Fest

In just a few days it will be time to celebrate this year’s harvest of fruits and vegetables in North Royalton. Boys soccer starts season strong

The North Royalton Boys Varsity Soccer began the 2017 season looking at a big task ahead of it. Their job, keep the tradition of North Royalton Boys Soccer alive. Through the first six games of the season, North Royalton is undefeated on the season with a record of 4-0-2. Last year, North Royalton had a record of 12-4-3 and reached the Parma District Finals before losing to eventual state champion St. Ignatius 1-0. City adds No Vaping to No Smoking laws
