St Albert parishioners prepare for a day of service

Saint Albert the Great is looking forward to its service day(s) Friday March 4 and Saturday March 5. This year, Service Day comes smack dab in the middle of Lent, the six weeks of preparation and penance before the great rejoicing of Easter and the Resurrection. The reason for giving few hours of elbow grease service as alms for the benefit of another is expressed by St. Theresa of Avila, “….Yours are the eyes through which Christ’s compassion is to look out to the earth. Task Force offers school facilities recommendations

On Monday, February 1, about 200 people attended a community meeting hosted by the North Royalton City Schools’ Community Engagement Task Force at the North Royalton High School Performing Arts Center. The meeting was held to present the recommendations of the Task Force regarding the facilities of the district. Studies continue to focus on the addition of sidewalks

Members of the administration and City Council have been studying the results and recommendations of the Alternative Transportation Study that was completed last year. The plan analyzed existing conditions and provide short and long term recommendations, including feasibility studies and implementation strategies. RAMTEC officially opens at Cuyahoga Valley Career Center. Center to be used to train students and adults in the areas of advanced manufacturing

The Robotics & Advanced Manufacturing Technology Education Collaborative Center (RAMTEC) at Cuyahoga Valley Career Center (CVCC) was officially opened at a ribbon cutting ceremony, VIP Dinner and grand opening, held on Thursday, January 14. The RAMTEC project broke ground last March at the CVCC, located at 8001 Brecksville Road, in Brecksville. Schools seek public input at Community Engagement Meeting

City to step up enforcement of property maintenance

Mayor Bob Stefanik has said in the past that he was planning to focus on the aesthetics of the city beginning this year. “We’re really going to step up enforcement of property maintenance and aesthetics,” he said. North Royalton Cemetery due for a facelift

City administration is looking to spruce up the city’s main cemetery. “We have kind of been doing it over the last few years,” said Mayor Bob Stefanik. “The paving of the street kinda kicked things off.” In 2008, Stefanik’s administration started earmarking some of the funds from the proceeds of plots there for long term maintenance.
