After several months in the making, the City of North Royalton recently launched an online, interactive map of all resident, business and industrial properties in the City. Council passes 2023 budget

Over the past several years, the budget discussions with city administrators and Council began in the fall of the previous year. Last year, however, the timeline shifted to the beginning of 2020 in order to allow for the new Mayor and Council to have input. This year, the timeline was changed back to the fall. City/Schools agree on new Memorial Park field lease

North Royalton City Council unanimously adopted legislation that will forge a new lease between the City and the North Royalton City School District for rights of the joint use and access of a portion of Memorial Park on State Road. This agreement is in addition to separate lease agreements in place for the tennis courts and basketball courts at Memorial Park. During the last few months, the North Royalton High School Band has been hard at work.  They concluded their marching band season performing at the Ohio Music Education Association (OMEA) State Finals in Columbus, where they received a superior rating.  This huge accomplishment is the result of months of practice to get their show titled “Carpe Diem” to the best level - and earning the highest rating possible from the panel of adjudicators.  Throughout the marching season, the band earned such honors as Best Overall Visual Effect, Best Overall Auxiliary, and Grand Champion Overall. First Responders complete training event

For those in the area of the North Royalton Elementary School who were wondering what the commotion was about during the holiday break, they can rest, assured that it was nothing terrible. NRPD completes lease of ten traffic cameras

North Royalton City Council has approved the lease of the Flock cameras at their December 20 meeting. Council introduced the legislation at its December 6 meeting to allow for the lease and installation of ten surveillance cameras. Former Carrie Cerino’s property has new owners

The former Carrie Cerino’s Ristorante and Party Center has once again been purchased. This time, the property was purchased by MAHA Laxmi 8922, Incorporated, a family of area business owners. Carrie Cerino’s is located at 8922 Ridge Road in North Royalton. Carrie Cerino’s, closed abruptly on February 18, 2020. It was owned by the Cerino family since 1963. North Royalton High School staff celebrated their students’ first quarter success in person and with their families on Thursday, November 17 in the new Community Room. Families were treated to a continental breakfast. The North Royalton Board of Education held their December meeting on Monday, December 12 Assistant Superintendent, Melissa Vojta, gave an update about an elementary reading program. The cheerleading coach also gave a presentation regarding the program. The Board authorized the Treasurer to request advances on the 2023 tax settlements.
