North Royalton Scores in Best High School Rankings

This year, the North Royalton High School showed a slight increase in the ranks of Ohio High Schools, from 72 last year, to 45 this year, according to the U.S. News and World Report 2025 rankings of public schools. Every year, the national magazine lists the best high schools across the United States and District of Columbia. Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School ranked 20 and Strongsville High School ranked 52. On Saturday, Aug. 23, the North Royalton Community Festival returned for a one-day celebration, drawing neighbors, families and friends to the City Green at Ridge and Royalton Roads. Lions treat Olde Timers to a roaring good time

The annual Olde Timers Luncheon, hosted by the North Royalton Lions Club, is far more than a meal—it is a celebration of legacy, and community. It was held in the auditorium of Royal Redeemer Lutheran Church that throws open it’s doors to those Olde Timers who signed up to attend. “We read about it in the Recorder, so we signed up,” is often heard. School Board Approves District Pay Raises

With the beginning of August, many North Royalton School District Employees received raises, which were adopted by the North Royalton Board of Education. The Board unanimously approved a contract at their May 15 School Board meeting with the North Royalton Education Association (NREA), for the period of August 1, 2025 through July 31, 2028. The NREA is the union that represents the district’s teachers, therapists, counselors, and psychologists. Under the new contract in August, 2025, the range for Certificated/Licensed Salary ranges from $50,489 to $107,938. In 2026 the range is from $50,48 ....

City Seeks Dispatch Services Options

The City of North Royalton is in the process of looking at options for emergency dispatch services. This comes after the City of Strongsville announced that they will no longer be providing the service starting early next year. 18th Annual Pet Carnival was both fun and educational

The City Green recently turned into a doggy haven. On Sunday, July 27, North Royalton Animal Hospital and Paws at Play Resort presented the 18th annual Pet Carnival. All the dogs were on their leashes staying very close to their pet-parent. Some dogs got to ride in baby strollers, but most walked calmly, sniffing and greeting as they were allowed. Some dogs got really comfortable and decided to lay their tummies down on the cool grass under the shade. Gunner did exactly that; right in the middle of the agility course.
