The North Royalton Board of Education held their December meeting on Monday, December 12
Assistant Superintendent, Melissa Vojta, gave an update about an elementary reading program. The cheerleading coach also gave a presentation regarding the program.
The Board authorized the Treasurer to request advances on the 2023 tax settlements.
The Board approved the following 2022-23 appropriation adjustments:
516 IDEA Part B from $1,208,142.74 to $1,208,843.27; 272 Title I-A, from $380,388.56 to $381,828.20; 584 Title IV-A, from $28,008.36 to $28,053.50; and 590 Title II-A, from $89,336.23 to $90,334.-96.
The Board approved the following time and place for the 2023 organizational and tax budget hearing for January 5, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. at the North Royalton High School Community Room for the organizational meeting, and part of the January 9, 2023 regular meeting for the budget hearing.
The Board appointed John Kelly as the President Pro Tempore for the January 5, 2023 organizational meeting.
North Royalton School Superintendent, Mike Laub, reported on the progress of the district’s Strategic Plan, saying he wanted the Board to know “how we are addressing our tasks and items and when we have things complete.” He added that the plan is to audit the Strategic Plan internally in January or February, with an update to the Board in February or March.
The Board accepted the following retirements:
