The North Royalton Board of Education’s monthly School Board meeting took place on Thursday, February 15.
The Board appointed Superintendent Michael Laub, or his designee, as the Board’s Hearing Officer for all suspension hearings and expulsions.
The Board approved the following 2023-24 appropriation adjustments: Fund 006-Lunchroom from $1,381,167 to $1,502,167; Fund 300 District Managed Student Activity Fund from $560,000 to $590,000.
The Board recognized the retirement of Kathleen Miluk. They also accepted the following resignation and retirement:

The Board approved Jackie Arendt as delegate and Lisa Shuck as alternate to the Ohio School Boards Association’s Annual Capital Conference, to be held November 10-12, 2024
The Board approved the contract with Education Alternatives for the purpose of providing transportation services for students as needed for the 2023-24 school year.
The Board approved the agreement with United Cerebral Palsy Association for the purpose of providing special education programs and outreach services as needed for the 2023-24 school year.
The Board approved the Playhouse Square Foundation Agreement for rehearsal and presentation of graduation exercises on Friday, May 31, 2024, at the Key Bank State Theatre.
The Board approved the renewal of membership in the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) for the 2024-25 school year.
The Board approved the North Royalton High School Course Catalog for the 2024-25 school year
The Board approved the agreement with Synovia Solutions LLC (a CalAmp Company), for GPS Navigation and Student Ridership (Here Comes the Bus Software) for a five-year term and with Summit Educational Service Center to utilize the LPDC Online Management Service.
The Board approved the amendment to the lease agreement between the North Royalton Board of Education and the city of North Royalton to lease a portion of the former Royal View Elementary to include space for Safety Town on the property.
The Board approved authorization to purchase three 71/72 passenger 2024 Integrated CE S (PB105) conventional buses at a cost of $114,519.00 per bus, received as part of the Ohio Schools Council Bus Purchasing Program.
The next regular Meeting will be held on March 14 at 5:30 p.m. at the North Royalton High School Community Room.
