The March meeting of the North Royalton Board of Education took place on Thursday, March 6.
A North Royalton resident and a North Royalton student addressed the Board regarding the Ohio School Choice voucher system.
The Board approved the all-day kindergarten fees for the 2025-26 school year at $2,750.00 per year, up from $2,500.00 last year.
The Board amended the adopted classified substitute and summer/temporary help salary schedule to reflect increases in the number of positions.
The Board approved the following appropriation adjustments: 401 Auxiliary Services from $943,624.00 to $907,719.00; 006 Food Service (MS interior renovation), from $1,592,991.00 to $2,692,991.00.
The Board approved a resolution for the issuance and sale of bonds in the maximum principal amount of $77,680,000 for refunding for debt charges savings of some of the district’s outstanding improvement bonds, Series 2017, dated August 15, 2017.
The Board recognized the retirement of Elizabeth O’Donnell. They also accepted the following resignations and retirements:

The Board proclaimed March as Middle Level Education Month, “for educating young adolescents between the ages of 10 and 15 (grades 5-9) that are undergoing rapid and dramatic changes in their physical, intellectual, social, emotional and moral development.”
The Board approved an agreement with GPD Group for architectural services for the North Royalton High School auditorium theatrical lighting replacement for the amount of $20,500.00.
The Board approved an agreement with Connect to provide Platform as a Service, effective July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025.
The Board authorized the execution and delivery of a master electric energy sales agreement with Power4schools’ endorsed electric supplier, Engie Resources, LLC.
The Board approved an agreement with Public School Works for annual employee training.
The Board approved services with LLA Therapy STARS AND STRIPES Summer Camp for special education ESY programs and services for Summer, 2025.
The Board approved a resolution to adopt the special education model policies and procedures, released by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce in December, 2024.
The Board accepted and acknowledged the following gifts/donations:
-Cheryl Gabanic donated school supplies, valued at approximately $65 to the District
The next regular meeting will be held on Thursday, April 10 at 5:30 p.m. at the North Royalton High School Community Room.
