The North Royalton Fire Department urges residents to check their electrical service meters to help protect them from a fire hazard. “About ten years ago, our department responded to multiple fires involving residential electrical meters,” said North Royalton Fire Chief Bob Chegan. “These issues are from homes with underground electrical service. Council approves use of temporary patios for restaurant outdoor dining

North Royalton City Council passed legislation that will allow area eateries a temporary approval in order to provide additional outdoor patio dining. The legislation was proposed by Council President Paul Marnecheck and introduced by the entire City Council and Mayor Larry Antoskiewicz. Although Governor Mike DeWine has loosened eatery restrictions, due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, only limited seating is allowable. North Royalton places in Top 20 Safest Cities

North Royalton has ranked fourteenth among the top twenty cities in Ohio this year. That is according to the SafeWise rankings, who recently released its sixth annual Safest Cities in Ohio report. “Our safest cities rankings celebrate communities with the lowest numbers of reported crimes. The May meeting of the North Royalton Board of Education took place on Monday, May 11. The meeting was conducted as a virtual meeting, in keeping with the then-current stay-at-home order of the state. Sprague Road fire takes pets, spares family

In the afternoon hours of Wednesday, May 13, the North Royalton Fire Department was dispatched to a home on the report of a fire. The call came in at 4:20 p.m. by a passer-by for a fire at a home at 3005 Sprague Road. There were two teenagers that were in the home at the time. Lions Clubs celebrate centennial with ‘Day of Service’ in response to COVID-19

Members of the Royalton Hills Lions and the North Royalton Lions celebrated the 100th anniversary of Ohio Lions Clubs with the thing they do best – provide service to others. Originally, the centennial celebration honoring 100 years since the formation of the first Lions Club in Ohio, was to be marked at the Lions Statewide Convention on May 17 in Columbus, but plans were canceled due to COVID-19. Local companies begin to reopen their doors and welcome your business

North Royalton is one of many Ohio cities and towns that are re-opening for business after closures that were due to COVID-19.
