North Royalton Softball catcher leads team in a big way

Evelyn Weiser is the catcher on the North Royalton Lady Bears softball team this season. If you saw “Evie” without her catching gear on, you would never believe that she plays behind home plate. Evelyn is one of the smaller players on the team, but when it comes to the intangibles that catchers need to have, she’s definitely an All-Star. Hard-working soccer player heading to Ashland University

The final National Letter of Intent Signing Day for the 2018-19 school year on April 17, produced another North Royalton student athlete who is taking his game to the next level. Before family and friends in the North Royalton High School gym, boys’ soccer player A.J. Lozinak signed his letter to attend and play soccer at Ashland University. NRFD Open House and Safety Fair set for Sat., May 18

North Royalton Fire Department will hold the 23rd Annual Open House & Safety Fair on Saturday, May 18, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at North Royalton Fire Department, Station #1, 7000 Royalton Road. Electronic email fraud becoming commonplace

At the latest Mayor’s Breakfast, Jim English, Vice President of Treasury Management, from F.N.B. Corporation’s First National Bank, gave a presentation regarding fraud prevention. Mayor Bob Stefanik noted that ten to fifteen years ago fraud was not as prevalent as it is today, but with technology, fraud is much more commonplace. English talked about check and electronic fraud on business account transactions. Some of his recommendations for avoiding fraud also work for personal accounts as well.
