School Board reacts to State Plan Proposals
At the April 10 regularly scheduled North Royalton School Board meeting, the Board resolved to support Ohio’s Fair School Funding Plan. They also resolved to oppose a proposed cap on School District Reserves. Both are included in the State’s proposed biennium budget. Earlier this month, the Ohio House passed Ohio House Bill 96, the two-year operating budget totaling about $61 billion, which includes some proposed changes in school funding. Hopping good time at the annual Easter Egg Hunt
The North Royalton Lions Club hosted the annual Easter Egg Hunt from 1-2 p.m. Sunday, April 13, at the North Royalton Memorial Park Playground. The weather was perfect and the turnout was outstanding. More than 300 children were in attendance to hunt for eggs. There were volunteers from CrossFields Church and North Royalton High School Key Club along with North Royalton Lions members hiding thousands of eggs on the grounds for the children. Opening of new Senior Center is delayed
Plans for the opening of the new North Royalton Senior Center are getting closer, but have been delayed from the previously targeted spring opening. The project has had some bumps, since its start in 2022. At the April 19, 2022, North Royalton City Council meeting, it was announced that the School District and City are in the process of securing an agreement to transform a portion of the former Royal View Elementary School into a City senior center. In 2021, Royal View, along with the former Valley Vista and Albion elementary schools were replaced with the opening of North Royalton Elementary ....

NRHS Student David Visocky earns prestigious Eagle Scout Honor
Hard work, dedication, and a commitment to service have earned North Royalton High School Sophomore David Visocky one of the highest honors in Scouting—the rank of Eagle Scout. Visocky, a member of Troop 218 at Royal Redeemer Lutheran Church, was recognized in a special Court of Honor ceremony on March 23. He was honored by Congressman Max Miller, State Representative Mike Dovilla, North Royalton Mayor Larry Antoskiewicz, and City Council President Paul Marnechek.
