After a year’s absence, the North Royalton Health Fair and Family Expo is back. Mark it on your calendars, set the date on your phones, for the eleventh annual North Royalton Health Fair and Family Expo, Saturday, September 25, from 8 a.m. to noon located at the brand-new North Royalton High School, located on 14713 Ridge Rd., and emceed by NRHS English teacher Jonathan Dietrich. Construction projects ongoing in two sections of Sprague Road
Residents may want to avoid two sections of Sprague Road for the near future, as two projects are taking place. On the east side of Sprague Road, a gas line replacement project is taking place. On the west side of Sprague Road, a reconstruction and widening project is commencing. Last month, Columbia Gas began their gas line replacement project, which runs from State Road and Perl Court/Hoertz Road. That project will affect about 90 residents on Sprague Road directly and a number of motorists. Zoning and Charter issues voters will see on November ballot
On the November 2 election, North Royalton voters will have an opportunity to adopt an amended zoning map of the City of North Royalton, as well as make two amendments to the City’s charter with proposed charter amendments. In addition to being able to elect local officials and vote on financial issues, the only other means that residents have a say in how their local government is run and what their city looks like is through voting for issues relating to zoning and amendments to their charter. NRHS scores in U.S. News & World Report “Best” rankings
North Royalton High School climbed in the ranks of Ohio High Schools, from 127 last year to 85 this year, according to the U.S. News and World Report 2021 rankings. Every year, the national magazine lists the best high schools across the United States and District of Columbia. “The U.S. News Best High Schools rankings include data on nearly 24,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia. Nearly 18,000 schools were ranked on six factors based on their performance on state assessments and how well they prepare students for college,” according to US News officials. They ....
The August meeting of the North Royalton Board of Education took place on Monday, August 9, at the North Royalton Performing Arts Center. The Board appointed Superintendent Michael Laub, or his designee, as the Board’s Hearing Officer for all suspension hearings and expulsions. School Superintendent Michael Laub acknowledged and publicly thanked Connor Krause for his attainment of Eagle Scout. He built two picnic tables for the elementary school as his project.
