Participants can win one of three $250 Visa Gift Cards

Three substance abuse prevention groups: CAPA (Community Awareness and Prevention Association), 25 & Alive, and PHNR (Partnership for a Healthy North Royalton) including the communities of Brecksville, Broadview Heights, Independence and North Royalton, have teamed up and are asking the public to become partners in prevention by participating in a Community Perception Survey.
Participation in the survey is one way individuals can help in the battle against substance abuse. The survey will provide valuable feedback that will help guide youth substance abuse prevention efforts in each locality.
The survey will take about 10 minutes to complete. Questions about community opinion, substance use by youth, communication, and local conditions covering alcohol, tobacco, marijuana, heroin, and prescription drugs are asked. The survey also seeks views about legalization and prevention awareness efforts.
The strictly confidential survey is available electronically by visiting
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/CPS-2017 from May 8, 2017 through June 30, 2017. Participants must be 18 years or older and must live or work in one of the communities mentioned above. After completing the survey, there is an opportunity to enter a raffle to win one of three $250 Visa gift cards. The information for the raffle is not linked to the survey, thus maintaining the anonymity of the participant. Only one entry per participant is accepted.
The data collected is being analyzed by an independent consultant, Jeff M. Kretschmar, Ph.D. Dr. Kretschmar is also a Research Assistant Professor and Managing Director at the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education at Case Western Reserve University.
