Due to the recent tear down of the wooden playground at Memorial Park, the Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt this year has been moved to Royal View Elementary School, 13220 Ridge Road. It will be held on Sunday, March 29, from 2-3 p.m.
“Residents of Royalton Woods Retirement Community on State Road have been busy filling some 3,000 eggs that will be hidden on the school grounds. The residents enjoy passing the time filling the eggs, and feel good knowing that they are helping create an afternoon of fun for area youngsters,” said Linda Arduini, a coordinator of the egg hunt and director of Royalton Woods.

The event is for kids 10 years old and younger. Key Club members will be helping to hide the eggs for the hunt. About 20 kids go out at a time and will have about 10 minutes to find as many eggs as they can.
The first 200 children will receive an Easter cookie from the Easter Bunny, courtesy of Royalton Woods. The Easter Bunny will be there, of course, and available for photos.

The new venue is only for this year as next year the egg hunt will return to Memorial Park. Thre is no rain date, so dress for the weather. Last year it was a beautiful day which drew a large crowd. Everyone is hoping for another beautiful Sunday.

If you are attending the Easter Egg Hunt and have a photo with the Easter Bunny, send it to the Recorder at rrnews@aol.com, and we may use it in our next issue.
