North Royalton Fire Department will have their annual Open House & Safety Fair on Saturday, May 20, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at North Royalton Fire Department, Station #1, 7000 Royalton Road. It is a great family event, both fun and educational and a great way to celebrate National EMS Week!
The North Royalton Fire Department will have all of their apparatus on display for you to see and walk through. There will be many safety displays, including the North Royalton Police Department, with some of their vehicles on display and a 9-1-1- simulator.
The traveling Fire Safety House will be there again this year, along with the University Hospitals MedEvac Helicopter scheduled to arrive sometime between 11 a.m. and 12 noon. There will be representatives from the following organizations: NR Fire Department, NR Police Department, MetroHealth Burn Unit, MetroHealth Division of Trauma, University Hospitals (UH) Parma Medical Center, UH MedEvac Helicopter, UH Rainbow Babies Safe Kids Coalition, Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department, Columbia Gas, Cleveland Metroparks Mounted Unit, NR CERT, AAA, ATA-American Trucking Association, Cleveland Water Division, Crisis K9 Response, Cuyahoga County Office of Emergency Management, GCRTA Operation Community Watch, NR YMCA, Ohio Dept. of Transportation-District 12, Sal Lanera Firework Safety.
There will be a raffle for bicycle helmets and there will be one lucky winner of a bicycle, which was donated by North Royalton Firefighters, Local 2156.
Bring your camera as there will be a lot of great photo opportunities! Refreshments will be served, so bring the family and come out for a day of fun and learning!
