North Royalton City Schools now has its own specialty license plate! Customers may purchase the plate beginning June 3 online at http://www.bmv.ohio.gov/vr-sp-organization.aspx or at their local deputy registrar office. There will be an additional charge of $40 on top of the original costs for the plate — $10 to be used by the BMV for administrative purposes and $30 to be directly earmarked to the North Royalton City Schools. Purchasers of the plates shall remain anonymous from any school database unless they complete a consent form to release their information to the schools. The $30 from each sold license plate will go towards supporting the emotional health of students within the district.
State Representative Marlene Anielski (R-Ohio House District 6) and State Representative Mike Dovilla (R-Ohio House District 7) co-introduced this bill that now creates an additional funding source for North Royalton City Schools.
“I am proud to have the North Royalton City Schools participate in this meaningful initiative and thank both Representatives Anielski and Dovilla for their support,” said Superintendent Greg Gurka. “This program will help us provide services necessary to meet the social and emotional needs of our students as we work to fulfill our mission of inspiring and empowering learners.”
