The North Royalton Board of Education held their November meeting on Monday, November 6.
Assistant Superintendent, Melissa Vojta and School Superintendent, Mike Laub, gave a presentation regarding the district’s recent professional development day.
The Board approved the following 2023-24 appropriation adjustments: fund 300 District Managed Student Activity Fund, from $500,000 to $560,000

The Board approved participation in the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches (OATCCC) Ohio State Indoor Track & Field Championship and further authorizes and approves the following individuals to act as volunteer coaches for this league:
William Cummins., Joseph Francescangeli, Elisabeth Jasina, David Marhefka, Douglas Steiger and Nicholas Woods.
The Board approved an agreement with Applewood Centers, Inc. (Gerson School) for special education programs and services for the 2023-24 school year.
The Board approved an agreement with PSI Affiliates, Inc./PSI Associates, Inc. For the 2023-24 school year for Royal Redeemer School for psychology services, health screenings and intervention specialists, in the amount of $88,117.02 and appoint Julie Bogden as Administrator.
The Board approved the agreement with PSI Affiliates, Inc./PSI Associates, Inc. for the 2023-24 school year for auxiliary services at St. Albert the Great in the amount of $542,448.94 and appoint Julie Bogden as administrator. Services are for Registered Nurse, Clerk Services, Counselor/Social Worker Services, Intervention Specialist Services, Psychology Services, Remedial/Title 1 Services, and Speech Language Services.
The Board approved the contract with ASG Education LEAP program for the purpose of providing special education programs and services needed for the 2023-24 school year.
The Board approved an agreement with the City of North Royalton to inspect and maintain the stormwater drainage systems for the synthetic turf conversion of the baseball and softball fields.
The Board approved an agreement with Connect to provide in-person technology support and technology services for the 2023-24 school year.
The Board approved an agreement with Ohio Energy Management for energy management services from October 24, 2023 through October 24, 2024.
The Board approved a resolution authorizing an agreement with the city of North Royalton relating to the Memorial Park tennis court improvement for an amount not to exceed $1,024,000.
The Board approved to accept and acknowledge the following gifts/donations:
-The Renner family donated $200 worth of items to the Caring Closet at North Royalton High School.
-State Crest Carpet & Flooring, Inc., in Bedford Heights, donated $300 to sponsor the District therapy dog.
-Aggie Ozello of Brunswick donated rubber stamps and alcohol markers, valued at about $250, to the art department at North Royalton High School.
The next regularly scheduled meeting will take place on Monday, December 11, at 7 p.m. at the North Royalton High School Community Room.
