Council votes on passage of the 2025 City Budget

The 2025 Budget for the City of North Royalton was unanimously adopted by City Council at their final meeting in December. According to Ohio law, Council must adopt its yearly budget by March 31 of that year. The measure was initially introduced at the November 19 City Council meeting and a special Finance Committee meeting then took place on December 3 to discuss the budget. Kindergarten registration for the 2025-26 school year begins February 1, 2025

Residents of the North Royalton City School District who have a child turning five years old PRIOR to August 1, 2025, are invited to register their child for kindergarten beginning February 1, 2025. For the 2025-26 school year, the District will be holding in-person registration at the Community Room.  The dates for registration will be February 18, 19, and 20, 2025.  On February 18 and 19, registration will be held from noon –7 p.m. February 20, registration will be held from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.  There will be a special photo opportunity for the students at registration. City Council approves Senior Center Project update

By GLORIA PLEVA KACIK Contributing Writer City Council adopted an ordinance, introduced by Mayor Larry Antoskiewicz, that increased the amount of the bid from Millstone Management Group, Incorporated, after costs increased for the Senior Center project. They adopted the legislation 6-0, with Ward 5 Council Representative Heidi Webber absent from the December 5 City Council meeting. Lots of Caring and Sharing at Royal Redeemer

For the 35th consecutive year, Royal Redeemer Lutheran Church here in North Royalton provided food, caring, and fellowship to many in our community who did not have anywhere to turn on Thanksgiving Day. The numbers are surprising. Over the past years, Royal Redeemer has served between 1,200 and 1,400 meals on Thanksgiving Day. The North Royalton and Broadview Heights communities came together for the 12th annual Taste of North Royalton event on Thursday, November 7, at the St. Paul Hellenic Center.
