Many people in North Royalton do not know who Wally Ohler is. Before Memorial Day 2015, I was in that group. Now, I’m glad to know him. Wally and “his band of angels” help members of the military, both from North Royalton and well beyond the city limits. Plus, Wally helps family members of those in military service. Memorial Park Surveillance Cameras Up and Running

In order to protect the city’s recent investment of a newly enhanced Memorial Park and provide residents with a safe environment, the city administration has recently installed surveillance cameras around the Memorial Parka area. The cameras were installed in mid-October, after various forms of vandalism had been experienced over the summer. Memorial Park is located on State Road between Rt. 82 and North Akins Roads. The new Metroparks area on the corner of York Rd. and the Valley Parkway had been under construction since early summer. I went with my owner on summer evenings just to see how things were going. An Army Salute to One of North Royalton’s Own

Lieutenant Colonel Edward Sedlock Jr., a 1993 graduate of North Royalton High School, has been appointed as the commander of the 2nd Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division based in Fort Campbell, Kentucky. The command change ceremony took place on the first of September. Maggie Flanagan has a very important role with all the athletic teams that wear the North Royalton High School uniform. You probably don’t recognize her name. She’s not a coach. But, her role is far more importan. Maggie is the athletic trainer for North Royalton High School. This is her fourth year on the job for North Royalton, but she has over 25 years of experience in helping athletes deal with their injuries and she helps them to get back in the game. Cost of dying goes up

The North Royalton City Council is looking to increase the fees for the North Royalton Cemetery, after discussion took place at the Council’s Finance Committee meeting. Larry Antoskiewicz, Council President and Chairman of the Finance Committee, said that discussion to raise the rates took place in an effort to ensure that the cemetery would continue to be maintained in a respectable manner without having to be subsidized by the city’s general fund. Garden sheds were target of recent crime spree

In mid-April someone was harvesting items out of a slew of garden sheds across town. On April 16 and 19, the garden sheds of eight different locations were broken into and mainly landscaping equipment was stolen.
