Youngsters enjoy return of Easter Egg Hunt

It wasn’t a good weather day on Sunday March 28. It was rainy. It was cold. But, hundreds of North Royalton families came to Memorial Park for an Easter Egg Hunt. In the midst of a pandemic, families came to the Park, wearing masks and social distancing to gather and have their children participate in an Easter Egg Hunt. Only 25 children were allowed at a time inside the fenced in playground area at the Park. Residents are warned to beware of current scams

As has been the case in the past, criminals continue to create new types of scams that they inflict upon the public. There are several that have become popular of late; two involving unemployment and two that are Covid-related. The Cuyahoga County Department of Consumer Affairs (CCDCA) is warning residents to ignore an email or text that notifies them of an error in their unemployment claim. “The text is a scam,” noted CCDCA officials. “Clicking on the link takes people to a spoof website that prompts people to input Social Security numbers and PINs. City road projects planned for 2021

In Northeast Ohio, many say there are only two seasons: winter or construction season! With that, the orange barrels are starting to appear, as construction season has begun and residents will be seeing road work starting around the city. The 2021 Road Repair Program is already in full swing, as the 2021 Road Repair Program was earmarked with the 2021 budget at the end of last year. Children meet with the Easter Bunny on a sunny spring day

Last weekend’s photos with the Easter Bunny event, sponsored by the Royalton Hills Lions, was the first large-scale event conducted by a North Royalton civic organization in more than a year, and its success was two-fold: club members were thrilled to be with the public again meeting new faces and providing a service, and residents were happy to support the community and bring their children out to an enjoyable event. NRCS and NRPD expected to make new appointments

In the next two months, appointments for two prominent positions in North Royalton are expected to be announced. The City of North Royalton is expected to choose the new Chief of Police, who will replace Police Chief Ken Bilinovich, who retires on April 2. The North Royalton Board of Education is expected to name the appointment of the new School Superintendent, replacing Greg Gurka, who will retire in June.
